2027 Student Scholarship Competition
Application period January 15 - February 1, 2027
Who is Eligible?
Currently enrolled high school students residing in Warren County for the 2026-27 school year.
Private lesson students of MSO members who play an average of 2+ concerts per calendar year, regardless of where they reside.
Four Categories
Strings - Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Harp, Guitar
Brass/Woodwind
Keyboard - Piano
Vocal - Operatic or Oratorio Aria
Timeline
Finalists will be alerted via email by February 15th, 2026
Finals will be on March 7th, 2026 in Mason at 10am
The Winner of the Stuart Horrell Memorial Scholarship will perform with the Mason Symphony Orchestra on April 25th, 2026, at 7:30 pm.
Awards
The winner of the Stuart Horrell Memorial Scholarship will receive $500 and a solo performance.
Finalist in each category receive $150

Complete the Student Competition form using the button below.
Pay the required $25 application fee found using the portal below no later than February 1, 2026. If you prefer to pay by check, please email admin@masonsymphonyorchestra.org before the deadline.
